In Celebration of

Morag Sinclair

June 17, 1961 -  January 17, 2024

In loving memory of Morag Sinclair, who passed away suddenly on January 17, 2024 at the age of 62. Morag was born in Glasgow, Scotland. At age 5, she emigrated with her family from Scotland to Etobicoke, Canada. Even so, Morag always retained a strong connection with her Scottish roots.

She attended Parkview Public School, 20th Street Primary School, James S Bell Junior-Middle School, and New Toronto Secondary School. She also attended Humber College for the Travel agent program.

Morag faced many health challenges throughout her life, but always remained kind hearted and thoughtful to others.

After moving into Wesburn Manor, Morag found renewed purpose. She took an active interest in the many programs offered, and helped welcome new residents into the home. She was so engaged in life at the home that she was eventually elected President of the Resident’s council.

Survived by her devoted mother Mary Sinclair (nee McAllister), and the late Peter Sinclair; her sister Christine Mladen (Tom); her brother Peter Sinclair (Alan Leclaire); and nephew Stuart Mladen.

Our family would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Wesburn Manor for their care and support of Morag.

We first met in grade 3 but became life long friends in high school. We started going to see live plays downtown. Dinner and a show. Our first play was Dracula. We got the nose bleed seats. After high school we stayed in touch. Morag, with her parents, would babysit my youngest from time to time. My daughter remembers the Christmas parties at her house. For years, I would take Morag out shopping the end of November and that would always be the start of my Christmas shopping with her.
Lately, it was Swiss Chalet Dinner brought into where she was living.
So many happy memories. I will miss her dearly.

Although we lived far apart we always kept in touch, sometimes lengthy letters or short notes or even just some photographs of what was going on in our lives. I shall miss reading about all the activities and entertainment Morag so enjoyed in Westburn Manor. I’ll always remember her lovely smile and great sense of humour and shall miss her so much.
