With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our dear beloved husband, tata and dida/didi, Mihajlo (Mišo) Petrlić. He is survived by his loving wife of close to 50 years, Matija. Devoted father (tata) to Ružica (Ivan) and Marija (Brian) and proud grandfather (dida/didi) to Nikolas, Lucas, Tomas, and Adriana. He is fondly remembered by his sister (sestra) Dragica and brother-in-law (šogor) Jure Biondić along with his half-sisters Ivanka and Kaja.

At the age of 29, Mišo left his small town of Podvinje, Slavonski Brod for Toronto in 1970. He met Matija in 1971 and were married on June 17, 1972. Mišo spent 40 years working at an aluminum factory where he eventually retired.

During his years, he devoted his life with his wife and two daughters where he was an active parishioner at Our Lady Queen of Croatia Parish, active member of Hrvatska Seljaćka Stranka and was a committed blood donor prior to coming to Canada. He loved his Catholic faith, Croatian community, and soccer, and always helped people in need.

Family was his life, and his grandchildren were everything to him. Our hearts are broken but we will always remember his unconditional love and love for Croatia.

Never forgotten, always in our hearts. Počivao u miru Božjem.

Funeral mass will be held at Our Lady Queen of Croatia Church on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at 10 am. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
