Miriam Margaret Grenville, beloved daughter of Mary and George Rawlyk, passed away peacefully at 56 this past Wednesday, August 4th.

Thinking back on some of the most lovely times over the last two years shared with Miriam, including elegant dinners, swimming, and canoeing. My sincere condolences in the face of this very big loss.

Our condolences to the family, especially the boys whom we’ve watched grow up over the past 17 years. We always enjoyed our sidewalk visits with Miriam. Our hearts go out to you all.

I was so sad to hear the news about Miriam -- she was such a special person and I have long admired her. She was so creative and such an interesting (and interested) person. Miriam and I met through our mutual friend, Britt Bodtker, when I was at Queen's University, but I realized that I had been to Pioneer Summer Camp with her, when we were about twelve (I also remember her older sister Anna from there as well). A few years after university, we reconnected when we discovered we lived in the same neighbourhood and had had babies a day apart from each other (Colin and my daughter Julia). At that time, I didn't have a lot of neighbourhood friends who were also mothers, and Miriam generously reached out to connect; I have such fond memories of our coffee dates and playground visits. She was a beautiful person, inside and out.
We are thinking of her sister and sons and are so sorry for your loss.

Big tight hugs to Miriam’s boys, sister and Mom. She will be sorely missed by the Williams & Jenkins families….my sweet and spicy little cousin Miriam….she was our youngest. I will remember her as the strong woman she was and my littlest cousin who let us paint her nails and put makeup on her beautiful face. She was up for anything…..my mischievous little cousin Miriam. Love you..miss you….safe journey.
