With sorrow in our hearts, we are announcing the death of Milica Jaksic, who passed away peacefully on October 14th, 2025, at the age of 85 after a long battle with cancer. Milica was the wife of the late Janko Jaksic, mother of Darivoj (Lucy), and grandmother to Kayton and Yasmina Jaksic.

Milica was born in Sinj, Croatia on April 3rd, 1940. Her and her husband, Janko, moved to Toronto, Canada in 1970 with their only son, Darivoj. No matter where she was, Milica lived in the present moment, enjoying the simple pleasures of life like her morning coffee and calling a friend.

Through all the adversity and loss she has faced in her life, her light never dimmed, and she always remained grounded and grateful for each and every day. Her mental fortitude and strength have become a beacon of hope for her family and friends. Milica was not only a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, but also a role-model. She will never be forgotten.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., Toronto, on Monday, October 20, 2025 from 10-11 a.m. A Service in the chapel will begin at 11 a.m. Interment Park Lawn Cemetery.
