In Celebration of

Mildred Rose

December 4, 1926 -  July 24, 2020

Passed on to be with her Lord on July 24, 2020.

She was the loving and devoted mother (and mother in law) of Sandra (Harold), Derek (Janet), Cynthia (Ian) and Stan (Neli). She was adored by her grandchildren Sean, Brad, Brandon, Blair, Christopher, Stephen, Crystal and her seven great grandchildren.

She was loved by her brothers and sisters who have passed and by her surviving sister Effie. Nieces and nephews were endeared to their ‘Aunt Mill’.

Millie brightened the lives of all she met. She had endless love and compassion to share not only with family but all she encountered in life. She would befriend people in her community who were in need. Sharing and giving what ever she had to help fulfill their lives. A member of The Church of God at the Queensway Cathedral, her life was a testament of her love of God.

Millie loved and was proud to have been a member of the custodian staff at the Toronto Old City Hall Court House for thirty years.

She was a unique and amazing lady. We echo your characteristic farewell: “God loves you and so do I”

Fly with the Angels, Millie.

Nanny Rose,
It would be nearly impossible to describe how loved you are and how much you will be missed. I am certain that very few people in my life will ever leave as much of a lasting and wonderful impression as you have. The world is definitely a little dimmer without you in it. Whatever faith and spirituality I feel is highly attributable to you. The quote, “God loves you and so do I”, takes on new meaning now, but it also gives me peace to know that you filled your heart and soul with your faith in God. Now is your time to be with God, but please go knowing that I have always held a special place in my heart for you and that you will be greatly missed. It pains me that my boys never had an opportunity to meet you in person and get to know what a special person you are, but please watch over them when you can.
I love you, Nanny. Goodbye for now.
Stephen
