In Celebration of

Mieczyslawa (Michelle) Czuk

February 15, 1938 -  December 17, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mieczysława (Michelle) Czuk (née Lys) on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, in her beloved home, surrounded by an enormous amount of love and her family by her side.

Mieczyslawa was the devoted wife of the late Jan Czuk and the cherished mother of Betty and mother-in-law to Ian MacEachern. She was preceded in death by her parents Jakub and Antonina (nee Wiatrzyk) Lys, her sister Bronislawa Wroblewska and her brother Wladyslaw Lys of Poland. Mieczyslawa will be fondly remembered by her cousin Lydia Lys and sister-in-law Halina Czuk (Adolek). She was a much-loved aunt to Lucy, her son Matthew, Edward, and Stephanie (Dean) Czuk, Irene Sevcik(Erwin) and her daughters Emily and Erica and Ania Lys (Juzek) and her daughter Gosia and extended family and friends.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Joy, Irena and Dr. R. Wortzman, the palliative care team at the Dorothy Ley Hospice for their compassionate care.

Visitation will be held at Turner & Porter’s Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor Street West, on Sunday, December 22, 2024, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 12 Denison Avenue, on Monday, December 23, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., followed by interment at Park Lawn Cemetery.

The family is grateful for everyone‘s love, support and prayers during this time.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mieczyslawa’s memory may be made to St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish Church, Toronto.
