Michael Wayne Cowie

March 24, 1951 -  July 22, 2022

Passed away peacefully, at the age of 71, at The Village of Erin Meadows. Beloved husband of 45 years of Barbara Hagen, cherished brother of the late Pat Cowie (Judy), Barbara Taylor (the late Rick), Nora Munshaw (Mike), Bernie Fraser (Don), Susie Paraschuk (Don), and Kevin Cowie. Loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews, caring brother-in-law to Carole Hagen (John) and uncle to Peter Hagen (Becky) and Lynne Harper (Stuart).

Michael was a hardworking, compassionate, generous and gentle soul who loved wood working, gardening and volunteering with The Red Cross Meals on Wheels program. Michael will be missed by all who knew him. He also leaves his two precious dogs Katie and Willow to Barbara’s loving care.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas Street W., on Wednesday July 27, 2022 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. Funeral Service will also take place at Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, on Thursday July 28, 2022 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Mount Peace cemetery. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Etobicoke Humane Society.

Barb Mike will be missed by many people near and far ,I never met a man so kind and gentle in his own way .Mike was big man with a real kind heart always willing to please people in his own way .God bless his soul I will be thinking of all the ways we worked together the many years at the hydro .WE went through some really tough times restoring peoples power and Mike was right by your side you could sure count on him when the going got rough .
