In Celebration of

Michael Philip Pudlo

December 21, 1958 -  June 3, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved father and friend, Michael Pudlo on Monday, June 3, 2024, in his 65th year.

Michael was born in Gimli, Manitoba and was the son of Mike (predeceased) and Elizabeth. He grew up in Stoney Creek with his siblings Gordon, Sonnia Magur, (George), and Stephen (Helena Moniz).

He married Mary Jean (predeceased) (nee Procajlo) in 1985 and built a beautiful home for his family in Stoney Creek. He was the proud father of Laura (Antonio), and Katryna (Nick) and lived his life around creating joy and happy memories for his family. He was adored by his in-laws Nick and Annie Procajlo (predeceased) and sister in-law Diane Fink (Brian). He loved sharing meals with them after church on Sundays at their home.

After 34 years of service, Mike retired from Bell in 2021 and moved to his cottage on Lake Muskoka in Gravenhurst. Where he loved to spend time with his daughters, going to the local YMCA daily to work out and socialize with friends, and watch the sunset while fishing every summer evening.

Our father was our hero, our friend and infinite source of advice. He had an endlessly positive attitude and a childlike joy for life. His family will greatly miss his daily calls, where he was always excited to share in the mundane details of our lives. He was always hard working and an endlessly patient teacher, helping both of his daughters renovate their homes. He loved playing and coaching baseball, barbecuing with his family and his annual fall fishing trips.

He was overjoyed to welcome his first grandchild Bowen, who he loved to read stories to and give horsey rides. His second grandchild Brooks was recently welcomed, who he would have loved endlessly. Mike had a way of making fast friends with anyone he met and would lighten up any room he was in. He will be missed by his family, friends, relatives in Manitoba, and anyone that had the pleasure of meeting him.

He continued his generous nature by helping others in need after his death by donating his organs.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 12 noon at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 260 Melvin Ave, Hamilton.

A Celebration of Life will follow from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. at Loyal Order of Moose, 1860 Barton St. E, Hamilton.

All are welcome. Feel free to come to all or either event.

In lieu of flowers, Michael and his dog Teddy would appreciate memorial donations to Golden Rescue (goldenrescue.ca).
