Born in North York, Ontario on June 25, 1976 and passed away on April 16, 2021.

Daughter of late Gonzago Fernandes. Survived by her mother, Maggie and sister, Melanie. Beloved niece of Eulogio, Barbara, Antonetta, Rosie, Sophia, Helen, and Dolly. Merlin is predeceased by her aunt Regina and uncles Santos, Joseph, Manuel, Stephen, Greg, and Pascual, and will be dearly missed by her numerous cousins and friends.

Merlyn graduated from Osgoode Hall of Law in 2001 and began her own practice specializing in Real Estate Law.

Merlyn created her own path and was bound and determined to be successful. In her life, no obstacle was too large to overcome. Merlyn was generous to a fault and was ready to help anyone in need. She had a love for travel, life and family. She will be missed by family and friends but cherished in our hearts forever. May her soul Rest in Peace.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Turner & Porter "Peel"Chapel, 2180 Hurontario Street, Mississauga.

A Private visitation will be held.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Mississauga on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 10 a.m. EST. The Mass is Private, however, The mass will be live streamed, please use the Church’s link on their web site.
