In Celebration of

Merces Teixeira

November 18, 1951 -  December 29, 2022

It is with heavy and sorrowful hearts that we share with you the unexpected passing of our beloved mother Merces. Our mother Merces is survived by her children Natercia Martins and Carla Simas and is preceded by her late daughter Liseta Teixeira and both her late father Francisco Medeiros and late mother Virginia Medeiros.

Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal our mother together with her children emigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1992 eventually moving to Mississauga in 2011.

When her late beloved daughter Liseta Teixeira passed away in 2011 our mother quit her job and moved in with her late daughters' family in order to help raise her granddaughter that was 12 years old at the time and her grandson that was 5 years old at the time.

Our mother was not only known for her undying love for her daughters, grandchildren and family, but also for her laughter and her deep believe in God and her catholic faith. For our mother was God first, family second and everything else followed.

Merces is also survived by her granddaughter and 5 grandsons that loved her dearly.

Our mother Merces will forever live in our hearts, but now she is resting in peace with her daughter and her parents.
