In Celebration of

Melinda L. Wojciechowski

November 3, 1957 -  January 10, 2019

(nee Skinner)

Melinda died unexpectedly on January 10, 2019, due to complications of the flu. She was 61 years old.
Left to mourn Melinda are her husband Basil, Cousins, including Ann and Jack Redmond, Ross and Karen Munro, Brian and Judy Munro, Nancy and Andy Helpard, and their families; In-laws, Evelyn Wojciechowski , Jack Wojciechowski, Sandra and Steve Wilton, Janice and Dino Neri ; treasured nieces and nephews, and many well-loved friends.

Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Melinda moved to Ontario with her family as a young girl. She had many interests and notably among them, music and cooking.

She spent many years in the music industry working as an agent and promoter for musicians. She loved experiencing different people, cultures, and foods, and travelled extensively to that end.
If you had to sum up Melinda in one sentence, it would be, “Melinda loved life.” And everyone loved Melinda. She will be sadly missed by so many.

A Celebration of Melinda’s life will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019.

Interment (releasing of ashes) will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Bronte Creek Provincial Park, 1219 Burloak Drive, Oakville, ON L6M 4J7.

Celebration of Life will follow (12:00 noon) at the home of Terry and Sandy Montgomery, 2487 Britannia Road, Burlington, ON L7P 0E9.

For the releasing of ashes, please note that it is outside, the weather is unpredictable, and there is walking involved. The site of release is by the creek. It is a 5-10 minute walk to the creek’s edge where there is a good view of the release site, and you are welcome to watch from there. However, accessibility to site of release is down an incline, which is a 15-20 minute hike. Proper clothing and footwear should be worn if you choose to come down to the creek.

My heart is broken. Melinda was so vibrant and alive and she had an incredible spirit. A loving friend, she had a big heart, and a wicked sense of humour. Melinda will always be with me, she is in my heart.

Such a shock. Thoughts and love are with Basil. We were lucky enough to count Melinda as a friend. Much loved, greatly missed, lovingly remembered, always. Wherever you are, Melinda, I have no doubt you are the life of the party.

It is hard to find words to express how much I miss Melinda already. My grief is only tempered by the great memories I have of all the good times we had. Good journey friend - I love you and will keep you in my heart forever.
