One fond memory I have of your mom is from when Matthew and I were kids. We were goofing around making faces at each other in a mirror that was in the foyer of your Willingdon home. I don’t recall why we would have been at your house and when your mom saw our high jinks, we thought we were going to get scolded. We were completely caught off guard when instead your mom joined in the fun and made a funny face as well! I’ve smiled, over the years, thinking of that memory.
My condolences on the passing of your beloved mother.

“Words that describe the life of Melba Virginia De Witt”.
Forward
Thanks for whats been given
Respect for what’s been earned
Little expectation
Love for family
Love for your other
Care for your loved ones
Respect and celebrate God
Respect and celebrate life
Believe in God
Believe in yourself
But don’t believe everything
Enjoy a good drink
Maybe enjoy two good drinks
Cherish good friends
Cherish a good laugh
Sing when you want to
Cry when you need to
After you’ve cried, put on a smile
Put on an outfit preferably bright
Yellow and Orange are always best
Head out in the world and point yourself forward
Remember the past
Remember your past
Learn from the past
Don’t live in the past
Care for your sick
Honour your fallen
Remember your fallen
Feel your pain
Maybe pity yourself…for a minute
Then move forward
Thrive in this world
Live for the next
And always move forward.
Wishing the whole family love and peace at this time. May the fondest and most cherished memories see you through. With love and light - rest in peace, Melba 🤍✨
Mom’s are the best friends. For ever in life.
Hug her and say thank you for all that she did for you no questioners asked.
