In Celebration of

Melba Moulds (neé Johnston)

August 20, 1921 -  May 3, 2023

It is with great sadness that the family shares the news of Melba’s passing at Kipling Acres Long Term Care on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at the age of 101. Melba grew up on a farm in Johnston’s Corner, just outside Ottawa. After marrying her husband Harold (predeceased), she moved to New York and then to Eritrea, Africa. In 1960, she returned to Canada and became a teacher, a profession she held for 25 years. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed many glorious summers at her cottage in Haliburton.
Melba was loved deeply by her son, Peter (predeceased 1974) and her daughter Arlene MacBride. She will be missed by her grandchildren Christopher (Rebecca), Luke (Alyson), Jason (Ann-Mari) and Kathryn (Daniel). She will also be remembered by her great-grandchildren Amanda, Vincent, Isabella, Pearl, Bodhi, Willow, Alice, James, Jack, and Audrey.

For those who wish, donations may be made to the Terry Fox Foundation.

Arlene, I just came upon this today. My condolences. She was such a wonderful person and a friend to my mother. 101!!! What a long and wonderful life.
I feel bad about missing the visitation.
