April 11, 1932 - July 28, 2023

Peacefully, on Friday, July 28, 2023, at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Jan. Devoted mother of three, loving grandmother of seven, and cherished great-grandma of two.

A private family service will be held.

If desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

So very sorry to hear of Melanies passing and our deepest condolances to the boys. We have so many happy memories of Jan and Melanie especially our times together at Cub camps where Mel was in charge of the cooking and believe me was she ever in charge. It was difficult to keep up. True to her background she would shop for food well in advance of the weekend and made sure she got the bargains and no kid went hungry.

Mrs Graper was a wonderful presence at any camp we shared. She always had smile for me.. sometimes a joke.. and often a well hidden snack to quiet my then voracious appetite.
I think of her quite often when I find myself sneaking snacks at campfire.. or an extra sausage at breakfast.

We could not have asked for a better "Troop Mother".

I’m sorry to hear of Melanie’s passing. I drove her to the gym for several years and enjoyed our conversations and laughs. An amazing lady!
