Mauro Maoloni

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mauro Maoloni on August 20, 2025, at the age of 85. Mauro was born on September 12, 1939 in Monteprandone (AP), Italy, to Tito Maoloni and Gioconda Mancini. Mauro truly understood that it was more blessed to give then receive, he was a loving soul that would help anyone. His smile and spirit embraced strangers and brought loved ones closer. He lived life to the fullest and loved spending time with his family and friends.
Mauro, left Italy for Germany and Switzerland in 1961, eventually moving to Canada in 1965. The move brought him closer to his brother Antonio Maoloni, where both were instrumental in helping build and shape the city of Mississauaga through their construction businesses. Mauro was very proud of his heritage, family and his hometown and along with his wife were key leaders in the Italian community.
Mauro is preceded in joining the Lord: Mother and Father, Gioconda and Tito Maoloni; brother, Antonio Maoloni; sisters, Maria Maoloni, Iva Maoloni and Enrica Maoloni.
Mauro is survived by: the love of his live, his wife of 58 years, Iole Maoloni, whom he knew from her birth in 1942; daughter Gioconda (Maoloni) Oliveira; sons Luca Maoloni, and Pietro Maoloni; grandchildren Sara Oliveira, Daniel Oliveira, Violetta Maoloni and Giulio Maoloni; daughter-in-law Dianna Maoloni; and son-in-law Peter Oliveira and he is survived by several loving nephews, nieces and cousins.
Funeral services are under the direction of Turner & Porter Peel Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St. Mississauga.
A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday August 27, from 6-8 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday August 28, 2025 at St. Dominic's Catholic Church at 11 am.
