She will be profoundly missed by all that knew her. Due to COVID-19, a private family gathering will be held at Yorke Chapel, Turner & Porter Funeral Home on October 10, 2020 at 11:30 am (EDT). Donations in lieu of flowers can be made in her honour by cheque payable to the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre (JCCC) Foundation or online at

Entered October 8, 2020 from Toronto, Ontario

Baachan, you will be forever missed by those you touched during your 95 years but, you will never be forgotten. You have been my inspiration and mentor throughout my life and the catalyst to drive me to where I am today. There was one good outcome of the pandemic for me and that is it gave me the opportunity to spend everyday during the last 6 months with you. My biggest regret however, is that we cannot send you off in the manner that you deserve but we will do so when it is safe for everyone. You will be in all of our hearts forever and until we meet again, rest in peace and send my love to Jiichan and Ken. Your loving daughter, Christine
