In Celebration of

Mary Vella

February 2, 1940 -  September 10, 2021

The sounds of laughter and delight, the smell of freshly baked Maltese delicacies, and the warm embrace of a hug were assured upon any visit with Mary. Mary radiated love for family, and took particular joy in spoiling her grandchildren. She was a skilled baker and knitter, and relished in bringing happiness to others through her creations. She was deeply cherished by all those who knew her.

On September 10, 2021, at the age of 81, Mary passed away peacefully in Mississauga.

Mary is survived by her children, Doris (Mike), Raymond (Karen), Robert, and Alfred (Marissa); grandchildren, Andrew (Pam), Joanna, Deanna, Lisa, Nicholas, and Jake; great-grandchild, Benjamin; and siblings, Larry, Lawrie, and Frankie.

She is predeceased by, and reunited in heaven with, her loving husband of 63 years, Francis; her parents, Alfred and Mary; and her siblings, Sam, Tony, and Paul.

A private service and burial for a limited number of close relatives is planned.

Donations to Trillium Health Partners Foundation in Mary’s name are welcome in lieu of flowers.

God through Mary's constant prayers for Jesus to unite us was answered and I thank God for giving me a sister who loved unconditionally. I will miss her telling me she loved me and was keeping me in her prayers.

I thank God that she is reunited with her husband Frank who were a marriage made in heaven.

I will cherish every moment with my sister and I am so thankful to God she is not suffering not only with her sickness but also from her broken heart from losing her best friend and husband Frank.
