Our family is saddened by Tessie’s passing. We have been family friends for over 40 years. Maybe more. She was always a kind and caring person and treated me and my brother like her own. Many family dinners, Christmas dinners and cottage runs were just some of the many memories of a wonderful person. Rest in peace.

I'm very saddened by the passing of Mrs. Cassar.
She was always so very patient with the crowd of misfits hanging out in her basement playing Risk and arguing loudly over everything. So many adventures!
Although even her patience could run out at 10 PM and we were still playing, her kind manner made being sent home seem appropriate. We were always welcome back to her home to resume our games at a more respectable time!
She really helped make the neighbourhood the very special place it was to grow up.

My condolences to Tessie's entire family on her passing. Tessie and my mother were teachers together decades ago and our families have stayed in contact to this very day. Her incredible generosity made us feel we more than friends but extended family. Indeed we feel like we lost a member of our own family. We celebrated holidays together and spent time together at their cottage. Tessie will be greatly missed. May she rest in peace.
