In Celebration of

Mary Lou Brooks

October 29, 1932 -  September 22, 2020

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Mary Lou Brooks at home on September 22, 2020, at the age of 87 from heart failure.

Beloved wife of Charles Don of 64 years. Loving mother of Pamela (Nigel) Ellis and Tim (Shelley). Proud grandmother of Claire (Peter), Erin (Ryan), David, and great-grandmother of Elliott, Annabelle, and Elise. Survived by her sister Margaret Jean Weimer and her three sons.

She graduated from McGill’s Physical and Occupational Therapy program and ran the prenatal clinic at Queensway Hospital for many years. An avid pursuer of needlecrafts and gardening. Dedicated to her family and numerous friends who will dearly miss her.

We appreciate the help we received from the Salvation Army and the Red Cross during Hurricane Andrew. If desired, donations may be made in her memory to those two charities.

I was fortunate enough to know, for a few moments, Mary Lou. She was kind to me and every time I met her she demonstrated the thoughtfulness of someone who truly cared, a manner that I am sure will be sorely missed.
My most sincere condolances go to the Brooks family, and especially to my good friends of decades, Tim and Shelley.
God Bless.

I was sad to learn of Mrs. Brooks' passing last week. We enjoyed having tea and goodies surrounded by the angels last Christmas! It was always interesting to hear the stories - especially about the Passion Play - and talk about so many different topics. She will be missed by my Mom for sure. All my condolences to Mr. Brooks, Pam and Tim. She was a lovely person.

My dear friend you will be greatly missed. I pray that the Angels that you loved so much were with you and brought you to the Lord as you left this life.
