Our dear mother, Mary Kolumbus, passed away surrounded by family on October 30th, at the age of 99. Mary lived a long and full life, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience.

Born in Slovakia in 1925, Mary immigrated to Canada at the young age of 12, embracing her new home with courage and determination. She built a life filled with family, friends, and cherished memories.

She shared a beautiful 60-year marriage with her husband, Tony. Their love was one of deep devotion and companionship. After his passing in 2010, Mary missed him dearly, but she always kept those memories alive by reminiscing with family and friends.

Mary was a devoted mother to her three children, Rick (Dianne), Ron (Barbara), and Janet (Rob), and a loving Baba to her many grandchildren Jennifer, Ryan (Melissa), Sara (Jeff), Kevin (Yuni), Sean, James, Jason (Jay), and Melissa (Brendan). Great-grandmother to Abby, Dale, Charlie, Luke and Lucy. Her family was her pride and joy, and she nurtured them with unwavering love and support.

Throughout her life, Mary was known for her kind heart, her warm smile, and her unwavering spirit. She approached life with grace and strength, always putting the needs of her family before her own.

Mary will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones, a testament to a life well-lived.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter ‘Peel’ Chapel, 2180 Hurontario Street, Mississauga (HWY. 10 N. of QEW) from 5-8 pm on Monday, November 4, 2024. Funeral Mass will be held at the Sts. Cyril & Methodius Church, 5255 Thornwood Dr., Mississauga on, Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at 10 am.

Interment at Park Lawn Cemetery.
