Born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, to the late John J. Jamieson and Mildred E. (nee McGillvary), and peacefully passed away at the age of 86 at The Village of Humber Heights, in Toronto. Predeceased by her Husbands John “Jack” Timmons (1987), and John E. Smith (2016). Loving Mother of Greg Timmons (Jenn), Michael Timmons (Deceased) (Maria), Brian Timmons (Deb), Paul Timmons (Jenn), and Kevin Timmons (Liz). Dear Grandmother of Sean Timmons, Lisa Hill, Alex Timmons, Jonathan Timmons, Michael Timmons, Adina DeMontis (Julian), Kyle Timmons, and Lauren Timmons. Great- Grandmother of Jenna, Dallan, Reid and Caden Timmons, and Jacqueline and Tristan Hill. Survived by her sisters Sandra and Teresa. Predeceased by her sister Millie

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Peel Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga, on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 5440 Durie Road, on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at 9:30 a.m.

Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Credit.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.

To Greg and the Timmons family, Sandra and family,

Please accept my deepest condolences for the loss of your mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. I have fond memories of Betty. She possessed strength and grace, and her unshakeable faith held in her good stead. She was greatly loved, respected and admired by many people. Her generosity knew no bounds: one example, when Greg and I went with Sean and Lisa to her and Jack’s place for Christmas dinners we always returned home with a shopping cart full of toys. Your memories will keep her close.
