In Celebration of

Mary Elizabeth Brawn

July 12, 1937 -  May 20, 2025

It’s with great sadness our family wishes to pass along the news that Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Brawn (nee Neale) peacefully passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. Loving wife to William Clare Brawn for 65 years; Mother to Charles (Nancy), Carolyn (Kevin Hillier), Catherine and Grandma to Jason Hillier. Sister to Joyce (Bob Strong dec.), Eleanor (Fred Eggert dec.), Roger (Sharon) and predeceased by Bill (Doris), Ray (Helen) and Shirley (Bernard van Fleet).

Beth was always active be it with her kids’ school activities, the condo building’s recreation committee or as a founding member of the Etobicoke Geneological Group (EGG). She enjoyed the ballet, art galleries, theatre, movies and people watching at Blue Jay games. She was an enthusiastic traveller who travelled across Canada and many different countries including Australia, New Zealand, China and California. She was an avid reader and interested in all things. She was our encyclopedia before Google.

She enjoyed family gatherings at Christmas, New Year’s, Mother’s Day and especially the Rememberance Day lunches. She loved her extended family and friends.

Visitation and funeral service will be held at Turner & Porter’s Butler Chapel on Thursday, June 12, 2025 . Visitation starts at 10 am. Service is at 11 am with refreshments following.

If you wish to make a donation in Beth’s name please give to a charity of your choice.

We love you. We miss you. Rest in peace

We are so sadden to hear of Aunt Beth's passing. She was always a joy to be around! We have celebrated many family events with her, Uncle Clare and family. We loved our Mediterranean cruise and time at Turkey Point. Memories we'll carry for a life time.
May she rest in peace.
Love, Diane and Les

I send my sincere condolences in this time of grief. The Bible promises that your loved one will soon live again on a beautiful paradise earth when death will be no more in John 5:28, 29.

Mr Brawn, Charles, Carolyn and Catherine, I was so very sorry to hear of Mrs Brawn's passing. I have so many fond memories of her over the years. She was always so kind, helpful and caring. She always made sure that I felt like part of your family. She will always be remembered.

Beth was a great friend and neighbour. My husband and I watched the kids grow up and took care of each other's plants and kitties when we travelled.
Lots of happy memories.
May she rest in peace.
