I extend my condolences to Janet & Rick, and to Mary’s multi-generational family.
My friendship with Ralph & Mary was established during my ministry, and blossomed during my retirement. (When Ralph could no longer manage eating a dinner, sensitive Mary would serve a sandwich.) Later, in her widowhood, there were so many wonderful potluck dinners enjoyed in the Witty home, always set at an attractive table. Included was good neighbour/friend, Bev West, whom we would pick up en route. Annual visits at my Lake Huron cottage were a highlight of each season. Time spent with dear Mary was always rewarding and nurturing. I found her quiet manner, and her loyal support, along with her sense of music to be endearing.
Mary was a treasure.
