In Celebration of

Mary Camilleri

December 23, 1935 -  February 12, 2025

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Mary Camilleri on February 12, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on December 23, 1935, in Żabbar, Malta, Mary lived a life filled with love, adventure, and creativity.

She was the devoted wife of the late Ivo Camilleri, with whom she shared a lifetime of cherished travels to distant lands. A loving mother to Mariel, Teresa, and Michael, mother-in law to Tatiana, and a grandmother to Alison. Mary found her greatest happiness in family gatherings, where her home-cooked meals brought everyone together.

A talented painter and an avid swimmer, Mary embraced both the arts and the sea with passion. Sharing her sewing skills with Ivo allowed them to create many treasured pieces together. She also had a deep appreciation for beauty, reflected in her treasured Swarovski crystal collection, which brought her much joy over the years.

Mary’s warmth, kindness, and spirit will be dearly missed but forever remembered by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held at Turner & Porter Neweduk-Erin Mills Chapel, 1981 Dundas Street West, Mississauga, on Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 2–4 p.m.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 21, at 11 a.m. at St. Christopher’s Catholic Church, 1171 Clarkson Rd N, Mississauga.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to “The Compass Food Bank” in Mary’s memory.

I met Mary and Teresa at what was our grief group after her husband and mine had died. We got together for five yrs after that for dinners every month or two as friends. I picked her up on occasion to go to these dinners. I believe it helped us all with our grief . Mary was very kind , caring , funny at times and was always worried about how her hair looked! ☺️, it was a pleasure to know both them both! I’m sorry for your loss!
