In Celebration of

Marjorie Mary Alice Ketchen

October 29, 1930 -  December 25, 2020

Peacefully passed away on December 25th, 2020 at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, at the age of 90.

Beloved mother of William Ferguson (Frances) and Sherilyn Ketchen (Jason Cooke). Devoted grandmother of Jack and Hudson Cooke. Predeceased by her brothers, Leslie and Victor Fillingham. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews.

Marj loved life and lived it to the fullest, right to the end. A trail blazer in the Canadian investment industry, she smashed the glass ceiling and was respected by all. Her love of career was exceeded by her love for her family, and we will miss her wicked sense of humour, her magnificent attempts to sing along with Perry Como, her inability to follow movie plots, her no-nonsense life advice (Cheer up, will you?), and her steady presence at the head of the table as we passed around the 15 green beans.

A private family service and interment will be held, with a memorial to come at a later date, when it is once again safe for all of us to gather.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the charity of your choice.
