In Celebration of

Marjorie Grace Forcier

August 19, 1930 -  January 8, 2023

On Sunday January 8, 2023 in Owen Sound in her 93rd year, Marjorie Grace Forcier passed away peacefully. Beloved wife of George Forcier (deceased) and mother of Michael and grandmother of Dane, Allison and Sabrina Forcier and special aunt and friend to many. Marjorie was born to Mary and Lenard Birch. Sister to the late, Molly, Kathleen , Lenard, and Harold Birch. She was a very determined woman and beat her disability and worked for 45 years as a legal assistant. She was married to her beloved George for over 62 years before his passing.

Marjorie was very involved in the Catholic Church and was a member of the Catholic Women’s League and served on the National executive. She was also an executive member of the Daughters of Isabella. She also was very involved in the Islington Seniors center as a lifelong member and was President of the organization for a number of years. She was a Minister of Communion to the sick for over 25 years at Our Lady of peace church. She was also involved in Saint Mary’s Church in Owen Sound.

A great joy of her life was volunteering and helping others. She led a life of duty and service to her family and to God. For over the past 27 years, she has mentored as a grandparent and enjoyed her cherished grandchildren while being involved in their growth and education. She is going to be missed dearly by her family.

Friends and family may call at Turner and Porter Chapel, 4953 Dundas Street West, Etobicoke (Between Kipling and Islington Aves.) on Monday January 16, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Peace Church, 3914 Bloor Street West Etobicoke Ontario on Tuesday January 17, at 10:30 a.m. Interment Mount Hope Catholic Cemetery. A reception to follow details will be provided.
