In Celebration of

Marilyn "Malen" Isla Soriano

January 15, 1966 -  June 29, 2019

The Soriano Family is saddened to announce the passing of Marilyn ‘Malen’ Soriano after a long battle with Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumours (PNET). She was 53 years of age. She is predeceased by her parents Leonardo and Adoracion Isla who are waiting for her in Heaven with open arms. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 28 years, Arman, and will be sorely missed by her children Mara, Alen and Gian. She was a dear sister to Jun (Beth), Thess (Francis), Roy (Liza), Jackie (Sonny), Maloy (Egay), Rollie (Icel) and a wonderful aunt to Olga, Patrick, Kim, Gen, Kevin, Kenneth, Kerbie, Francesca, Chester, Gino, Bea and Paula, all of whom she loved very much.

Malen exuded joy and a love for life and truly lived each day to the fullest. Her generosity knew no bounds, and anyone lucky enough to cross her path can attest to her unbelievable kindness, patience and understanding. She loved to sing and dance and continued to do so for as long as she possibly could. She was also very creative and loved doing arts and crafts- in her last few months of Palliative Care at Sunnybrook, she created beautiful pieces of art.

Please join us in celebrating Marilyn's life on Saturday, July 6th from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 9 p.m. at Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario Street, Mississauga. Funeral mass will be held at St. Christopher’s Parish, 1171 Clarkson Rd N, Mississauga a few days later after cremation on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a procession to her final resting place at Springcreek Cemetery.
