In Celebration of

Marilyn "Mer" Langdon

April 30, 1930 -  December 5, 2017

Peacefully, on December 5, 2017, with her loving family at her side. Marilyn loved her children, Luanne (Keith) and Stan. She was cherished by her grandchildren Adam (Jen), Candace, and Chris. She will be missed by her sister and best friend Marylou. Mer always cherished their time together, especially near the sand and surf. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Mer lived a full and exciting life (many joked that she was like a cat with nine lives). She endured much pain but always rose above it as champions do. Marilyn's life was enriched by so many loving loyal friends, Betty, Manu, Darlene, Shirley, Phyllis, and Maria. As Mer's beloved Sun sets on her life, we honour her with "A Celebration of Life", at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W. (between Kipling and Islington Aves.), on Friday December 8, 2017, at 11 am, preceded by visitation beginning at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. On-line condolences may be made using this website.

Grammy loved sunsets, her smile and laugh gave the sun a run for its money. She truly was a survivor and an example that positivity changes outcomes. She always treated me like a grandchild and never missed a Christmas card. My Nan and Grammy were great friends and I know dinners and coffee will be missed. Adam will always know you’re still there with him. Hope you are soaking up the rays in heaven Grammy! Xoxo Caitie

No time is long enough
To spend with those we love
Or to prepare our hearts
To say goodbye
With Deepest Sympathy

We just wanted to express our sympathies, as we know your hearts are filled with sorrow.
Try to fill the void you have with all your loving memories of the times you had together.
and know that you are loved and we are thinking about you.
sincerely Julie and Gar

Gram, where do I even begin. You were my sunshine on all of my cloudy days. You were such an inspiration to me and I will always cherish the wonderful time that we had together. Grammy was a big part of raising me during the most important point in my life. She meant the world to me and forever will. For those who knew her best, Gram was the best at being able to find a deal, and she was extremely proud of it! Oh and you cannot forget about her love of the scratch tickets!! Gram we will miss you forever and right now I do not know how to go on without you. I just keep telling myself that it is not goodbye...It is only until I see you again. Wait for me on a sandy and sunny beach would ya. I love you with all my heart... Love always and forever... Adam
