Marilyn was a great pal to have. especially in the Church Choir
If there was anyone on this earth that lived their life to the fullest, it was Marilyn. She was always full adventures, travelling, going to football games and hockey games. A beautiful life well lived. Till we meet again. Big Hugs, Bonnie
My deepest condolences to the Colhoun family. Marilyn and my mom, Doreen Friedman, were dear friends and Marilyn was part of our family and invited us to be part of her family. Her kindness, smile, brilliance, and selflessness will be missed and give us something to aspire to. With love and deepest sympathies,
Daniela Friedman & Mike Dojc & Dylan Dojc
To Ruth Vallis, a faithful friend, and all family members.
We were saddened to learn of the passing of our long-time member of the church, a dear sister and friend Marilyn. She was a remarkable woman who lived a long and fruitful life.
She always inspired us with her devotion to God and her kindness to others through many acts of kindness. She faithfully shared the Word of God, by providing Our Daily Bread booklets to every member of the church and wherever she could.
Please accept our heartfelt condolences on the transitioning of such a beloved lady into the presence of God. May she now rest in peace and may the love of God surround each of you with strength and comfort during such a time as this.
On behalf of the members of Bloor West Village Baptist Church
Ms. Colhoun created a community out of savages. She was our homeroom teacher at Kent in Gr.8, circa 1983. All of us kids, we absolutely hated each other. She made us drop our arms and begin caring. Not only for each other, but for her as well. When she was sick in hospital, we came together to write her a get-well card. When she came back, she was touched. Kent was rough and unstructured. She gave us the structure that we needed but we didn't know was missing. That's why I will always remember Ms. Colhoun.
