I vividly remember the first time I walked into the home of Marie and John, to "Meet the Parents". It was a beautiful home, kept immaculate by Marie -- I distinctly remember seeing my reflection in the spotless floor tiles in the entryway.
Fifty years later, I bid Marie goodbye, but know that her spirit and memory will continue with me for the rest of my life. During those fifty years, my life has been shaped by her presence, generosity and example, while falling in love with, and marrying, her daughter, raising our own family, and finally, caring for Marie in her later years. During those fifty years, I have enjoyed Marie's fabulous food, fun and family ties -- she consistently demonstrated her absolute devotion to her husband, daughter, sons, and grandchildren -- and the constant stream of family and friends in her orbit.
Hopefully, we all learn and grow throughout our whole lives, thanks to the example of others. Marie has been one of those people who has provided a terrific example to me -- "a life well-lived, full of love."
Thank you Marie, from the bottom of my heart. You are loved, and you are missed.

Dear Sharon, Tim, Jonathan, Chiara, and Chantelle.
Ryan and I are so sorry to learn of the passing of your Mother and Grandmother. I remember her so well from your wedding and how much you resemble her, Sharon, both in looks and spirit! I loved reading about her life, and did not know that she lost 2 brothers in World War II. We send our heartfelt condolences to all of you, over the miles. With much love from your cousins, Jennifer and Ryan, and all the family.
To Sharon, John, Michael
