Maribel was a very warm, friendly, and family oriented person. I worked with her and her husband for many years. We have lost a great and courageous lady. She will live on in my memories, and I will always reflect on the good times and the laughs I had with her and her family. Speaking for others and myself, we will miss you Maribel.

I met Maribel the day Vay got her Iron Ring for finishing her undergraduate degree. All day Maribel was beaming, meeting people at McMaster and thanking us for helping Vay along the way. The pride and love of mother for daughter was evident throughout. Watching Vay introduce people to Maribel, it was obvious how much she values and loves her mother. I now know where Vay gets her smile, spirit, and sense of adventure. Maribel was a wonderful woman and will live on in her children.

May her memory be a blessing and comfort to those she leave behind.
