In Celebration of

Marianna Ciufo

November 22, 1923 -  March 14, 2021

Marianna Ciufo passed away peacefully on Sunday March 14, 2021 in the company of her children.

She was a kind, gentle, resilient soul who is reunited with her husband Antonio. She will be forever remembered and loved by her children Sam (Wendy) and Marie (John) and her grandchildren Raymond, Marc (Sheena), Lindsay and Vincent.

She will be deeply missed but forever loved.

God grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
And wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world
As it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
If I surrender to His will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
And supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen

So true what is stated in the obituary. Aunt Marianna was a gentle soul. Unassuming and totally selfless yet strong and resilient.

My thoughts are with you and your family. Your grandmother was a great woman. I remember when I stayed overnight at your house and the kindness I felt. I don't remember what was said, but I smile when I think of it. Your grandmother was a strong woman and the two of you (Lindsay) had an undeniable bound. It was obvious how much she adored you and how much you loved her. She will be deeply missed.

Dear Lindsay, I had met your grandmother only a few times, but she was very kind and welcomed me with warmth and generosity into the home you shared together. She even tolerated my poor attempt at speaking Italian! You were, and still are, a faithful and loving granddaughter. My deep condolences.
