In Celebration of

Marian Sapkowski

May 6, 1928 -  November 20, 2019

Peacefully, on November 20, 2019, at the age of 91, Marian died with his wife Bernice by his side, and in the compassionate care of the staff at Copernicus Lodge.

Marian was the beloved husband of Bernice for 62 years and also loving father of Stan (Trixie) and Irene (Julian). Cherished Dziadek to Jennifer, Michelle, Elizabeth (Matthew) and Daniel.

Marian had a caring and gentle spirit and a strong love for his family. He delighted in his grandchildren and greatly enjoyed babysitting them when they were little. He had a quiet strength and a joy for vanilla ice cream. He took pride in his career at McDonnell Douglas, where he worked as an aircraft materials handler.

Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel on Sunday, November 24 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Rosary prayers will take place at 3:30 p.m.

The Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, November 25, at 10 a.m. at St. Casimir’s Parish, 156 Roncesvalles Ave., Toronto. Interment at Park Lawn Cemetery. For those who wish, donations may be made to St. Casimir’s Parish - FORMACJA.

Poem...
Another leaf has fallen,
another soul has gone.
But still we have God’s promises,
in every robin’s song.

For he is in His heaven,

and though He takes away,
He always leaves to mortals,
the bright sun’s kindly ray.

He leaves the fragrant blossoms,
and lovely forest, green.
And gives us new found comfort,
when we on Him will lean.
