In Celebration of

Maria Zacharjasz

June 14, 1950 -  December 19, 2024

We are deeply saddened by passing of Maria Zacharjasz (nee Stankiewicz), on December 19, 2024. Bellowed wife of Kazimierz and mother of Ewa, she leaves behind many family members and friends, both in Canada and Poland where she was born on June 14, 1950.

Maria was a woman of many talents and endless creativity. Her education was in field of economics, but she was also a very talented artist. Over her life she worked in field of government audit, accounting, agriculture, and retail. She came to Canada in 1989, where in addition to professional work she continued to develop her passion for designing and making clothes, jewellery, and other crafts. She also loved gardening and cooking – making every piece of her creation a little art.

She was loving and compassionate to everyone and had a way of making everyone she encountered feel special.

Guests can say goodbye at the Turner & Porter “Peel” Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., (Hwy. 10, N of the QEW) on Monday, January 6, 2025, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Prayers 7:00 p.m.
Funeral will be held in Poland at later time.

In lieu of flowers the family asks to make donation to Trillium Health Partners Foundation.

I am very sad to hear this and offer my heartfelt sympathy to Maria's family.

Maria was a fine and honored maker of so many different kinds of art and craft that she was admired by all who knew her. She inspired many members of the Toronto Bead Society to greater creative effort. I and others wear her creations, and deeply regret her passing.

Sarah Navier (Godchild)

I am sad that Grandma Maria passed. I will miss seeing her on her porch when I come home from school. We will miss our little chats at the edge of your driveway.
I hope you are pain free grandma, I will miss you greatly but will keep you in my prayers.
Love you Grandma.
Your Godchild Sarah.
