It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Conceição Viveiros on April 20, 2025, who went peacefully at Wellbrook Long-Term Care Home on Easter Sunday at the age of 84. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.

She is survived by her husband José, three loving daughters Joana (Antonio), Maria (Manuel) and Ana, as well as her sister, Maria Espirito Santo. She was an adoring grandmother to Vanessa, Cassy, Jessica, Eddie, Nathan and Luca and Bisavó to Sienna, Lorenzo and Olivia, who all loved her dearly.

Maria was born on October 2, 1940 in Terceira, Azores, Portugal, the eldest daughter of João and Conceição. Maria grew up on the island and later married her husband José in 1963. They had two daughters, then emigrated as a family to Canada in 1970. They settled in Toronto and welcomed a third daughter. Maria will be remembered for her social spirit, her green thumb as she adored her many plants, her love of crochet, music and dancing and spending time with her family.

She will be deeply missed and is forever in our hearts.

Visitation will take place at Turner & Porter Funeral Home, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga, on April 28, 2025 from 12-1pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 1pm.

Interment to follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, 6933 Tomken Rd, Mississauga.
