Passed away peacefully on January 6, 2023, at the age of 93. She will forever be missed by her children: Zita (Francisco), Jorge (Manuela), and Cecilia (Antonio).

She was a loving and generous grandmother to her grandchildren: Jennifer (Riccardo), Brian (Chantelle), Stephanie (Steve), Veneza (Matthew), Zino (Ida), Claudia (Jason) and Samantha (Christopher). Maria Victoria was a proud great-grandmother to: Jacqueline, Chantelle, Patrick, Giancarlo, Sophia, Gabriel, Xavier, Oliver, Theodore, Eloise, Leora, Savio and Oscar. Maria Victoria lived with great adoration and love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She especially loved our family pets, Toffee and Charlie.

Maria Victoria was born in the village of Canico, in Madeira, Portugal on April 12, 1929. She immigrated to Canada in 1975 with her beloved husband, Eduardo and we take comfort in knowing they are reunited in heaven.

Rest in peace, Mae and Avo Velhinha, we love you very much.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Neweduk Chapel, 1981 Dundas Street West, Mississauga on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 5-8 p.m. A Service in the Chapel will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. Entombment to follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery.
