In Celebration of

Maria Swietlik

February 9, 1957 -  September 28, 2021

Peacefully passed away, on Tuesday September 28, 2021, at St. Joseph’s Hospital- Hamilton, at the age of 64. She is the beloved wife of Neil Boyko, loving mother to Joanna and son in law Joe and adored Babcia of Sophia. Though she will be lovingly missed by family and friends, her life and love will remain in our hearts and memories forever. Maria was a strong, hard working woman who loved and cared for her family deeply. She celebrated every moment with her generosity of spirit, positive attitude, joy and lots of laughter. She was always energetic and social, hosting dinners and cooking up the most amazing food. Spending time with her family and friends over delicious food and wine brought her immense joy. Her greatest joy was spending time with her granddaughter, Sophia. She was an exceptional gardener and loved flowers, especially orchids. She made her backyard into a beautiful botanical garden.

Donations can be made to the St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hospital Hamilton.

The visitation will be held at Turner and Porter Yorke Chapel, to register to attend please use the following link: https://forms.gle/udd7Stx8DGRA7qzh6

I cried endlessly when you died but I promise, I won’t let the tears spoil the smiles that you’ve given me when you were alive.
