Maria Orel (born Maria Machatsova)

Passed away peacefully at age 85 at the Credit Valley Hospital, with her children by her side. Beloved wife of Ludovit (d. Aug 18, 2008) for 52 years. Devoted mother of Katarina (Paul) and Rastislav. Beloved Babka of Andrew (Emma) and Danielle (Ray) and Prababka of Maya, Jesse and Tessa. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Funeral mass will be held at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Slovak Church, 5255 Thornwood Dr., Mississauga on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 1:00pm. Refreshments will be served downstairs in the Church Hall, following the Mass.
If desired, donations may be made to Sts. Cyril and Methodius Parish or the Credit Valley Hospital, THPF.

Dear Katarina & family, My condolences, losing a parent is never easy ; however, memories of days gone by is what stays with you always. May your memories help you through these early days and may they sustain the memory of your mom in the years to follow. I know I think of her when thoughts of my parents and our trips to Florida come to my mind .
