With heavy hearts, the family announces the passing of our loving mother Maria at the age of 93. Predeceased by her husband Boleslaw (2003). Loving mother of Edward (Barbara), Stan, and Diane Scott (Martin). Cherished Babcia of Ryan (Cheryl), Daniel (Mathieu), and Liam. Predeceased by grandson Jason.

Born in Poland, she immigrated to Canada as a displaced person after World War II. Married in Pembroke in 1949, she learned to make her way in a new country with two new languages. Settling in Toronto, Maria was a devoted mother who was committed to giving her family the best she could. Mom was a determined independent woman who worked at Alberto-Culver Canada until she retired at the age of 75. She remained active until well into her nineties and loved her exercise time.

Amica Erin Mills was her home since 2019. Our thanks go to the warm-hearted staff there who cared for Mom in these last few months.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, July 16 at 10 am, followed by the service at 11 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital would be appreciated.
