Unexpectedly, in Malta, on Friday, May 10, 2019, at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Nazzareno Farrugia. Loving mother of Charlie (Ann), Rose (Domenic), Catherine and Irene (Angelo). Proud Grandmother of Ash, Andrew, Christina, James, Daniel, Alison and Christopher and Great Grandmother of Logan and Landon. Dear companion of Joe. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter ‘Neweduk-Erin Mills’ Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W., Mississauga (east of Erin Mills Pkwy), from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, 2300 Burnhamthorpe Rd. W., Mississauga, on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at 11 a.m. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

I have loads of fun memories to fall back on, countless conversations both face to face and over the phone which I can recall, advice we gave each other over the years ....that is what I will cherish. We were used to you leaving to go back to Canada, we always shed a few tears as we parted and we always hoped and trusted we'll meet again the following summer. You left us for a better place and reunited with God where we know you will watch over everyone you knew and loved. Sincere condolences to all your family who I got to know, over the years. May Maria's power to keep everyones birthdays remembered by her surprise phone calls, which often lasted hours, keep us strong. May her sweet memory live on. Catherine, Christina, and Daniel (Rick Puhl) we were so very saddened to hear about the loss of your Mother/Grandmother. Maria was such a loving and giving person. She was dedicated to her family and adored all of her children and grandchildren ♥️ Maria has gone too soon and will be missed.
