It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Amendoeira at the young age of 58, who peacefully left us on August 23, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Maria was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, daughter and friend whose love, warmth, and kindness touched the hearts of everyone who knew her.
Born on January 28, 1966 in Santa Maria da Feira, Aveiro, Portugal, Maria was the cherished daughter of Americo Neves and Ana Pereira Da Silva. She grew up with a strong sense of family and carried that into her adult life, where she dedicated herself to her own family with unwavering love and devotion.
As a wife, Maria was the beloved partner of Manuel Amendoeira for 40 wonderful years. Their marriage was built on love, respect, and shared dreams. Together, they created a home filled with joy, laughter, and mutual support, facing life’s challenges hand in hand. Their partnership was a true testament to the power of love and commitment, and their bond will be everlasting.
As a mother, Maria was a source of strength, guidance, and unconditional love to her children, Stephanie and Jason. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support guided them through life’s challenges, and her lessons in kindness, integrity, and resilience will continue to inspire them.
As a grandmother, Maria found immense joy in her grandchildren, Sophia, Adriana, Alessia and Isla. She enjoyed every moment spent with them, offering endless love, encouragement, and they had a special bond that will be remembered forever.
Maria’s presence brought comfort and happiness to all who were lucky enough to know her. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcomed. Her home was a place of warmth and love, where family and friends could gather to create lasting memories.
She is survived by her devoted husband, her loving children, her adored grandchildren, her beloved father and her cherished sisters. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved her, and her legacy of love, strength, resilience and family will continue to inspire and guide us. She will be deeply missed.
