In Celebration of

Maria Correia

August 30, 1939 -  August 9, 2021

Maria Correia, 81, of Streetsville, passed away peacefully after a brief illness, with her family constantly by her side, on Monday, August 9, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Octavio. Devoted mother of Walter (Pam), Dean (Janet), and Ana (Catherine). Adored grandmother of Michael, Matthew, and Madeleine.
She was the epitome of grace, class, and kindness. She was a gentle soul that exuded love and warmth and infused all our lives with her compassion. She was the pillar of our family. She encouraged us to be our best. She loved us unconditionally, hugged us tight, and always said ‘I love you.’
Maria loved to cook for family gatherings, kept an immaculate house, and was gifted with a crochet hook. We all own blankets and tablecloths that we will treasure forever.
She loved to travel to be with family. Her travels took her to Portugal, Florida, Texas, California, and Arizona.
She was a life long, devoted fan of General Hospital and Young and The Restless. She was passionate about her gardening. Her flowers were meticulously cared for and bloomed generously for all to enjoy.
We were blessed to have you in our lives Mom, and we will forever carry you in our hearts.

A visitation will be held Monday, August 16th from 4-7 p.m. at Turner & Porter Neweduk Chapel (1981 Dundas Street West Mississauga) in 45-minute time slots. It was such a gift to have met Maria for the first time during the wedding celebration events for Dean and Janet. I will always cherish Maria's tight, heartfelt hugs and her beautiful smile. I always felt her quiet presence was such a reprieve from the busyness of our lives. May you rest in peace Maria. Walter, Dean and Ana and families - sending you so much love and healing thoughts. With loving memory of my second mom growing up in the Correia household. Every morning visits before we hit the bus for school, and after school talks. Two boy's that were always given a positive talk about being "good Boy's" and of course Sweet bread when mom made it. Always accepting, welcoming, and giving.

You will always be in my thoughts strengthening Dean's and mine friendship, which has lasted for 40 years and strong as ever.
Thanks MOM
