Passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 1, 2023 with her family by her side, at Camilla Care Mississauga, at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late Serafim. Adored mother to Adriana (Joao), Jose (Teresa), Lucy (Tony), Luis and Duarte. Cherished sister to Evelina, Deolinda, Luis, late Cristiano, late Cesaltina, & late Amelia. Devoted Avo to Kevin (Laura), Jeffrey (Nadia), Jamie (Amylia), Diane (Dustin), Mark, Lisa (Albert), Sally (Valdemar), Nelson (Sofia), Lindsey and Barbara. Dearest great-grandmother to Anthony A, Leila, Julian, Spencer, Lucie, Anthony B, Sophia, Melanie, Natalie, Daniela, & Santiago. A special thank you to all of the caregivers at Camilla Care for their dedicated compassion for Maria.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy 10 N. of Q.E.W) on Friday, October 6, 2023 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Cristo Rei Catholic Church, 3495 Confederation Pkwy., on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.
Interment Williamsburg Cemetery, Kitchener. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario.
