Maria (babicka) Ceresna passed away peacefully on Friday, January 19th , 2024 at Wesburn Manor, one
month shy of her 102nd birthday. Beloved wife of the late Vojtech, devoted mother of the late
Vojtech (late Maria) and Maria Popik (Milan), proud and loving grandmother of Michael (Sandra), Milan
Jr. (Catherine), Mark (Lenka), Matthew (Karen) Popik, Patrick and Martin Ceresna, Monica Caschera
(Adam). An extraordinary great grandmother to Kristen, Steven, Mark, Jacob, Michael, Samuel,
Nicole, Rozie, Willam, Lizzie and Lilly Popik, Trinity, Julianna, Ethan and Austin Ceresna, Bianca and
Benjamin Caschera. Loving aunt to the late Daniel Sulan Sr. (Marie) and their son Daniel Jr. (Jennifer)
and their children James and Nathan, adoring godmother to Olga Kocanova and aunt to Vladislav
Blaha. Friends may call at Turner & Porter “Peel” Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., (Hwy. 10, N of the
QEW) on Tuesday, January 23rd 2024 from 2–4 pm and 6-9 pm (prayers at 7:30 pm). Funeral Mass
will be held at St. Clement Catholic Church, 409 Markland Dr., Etobicoke, on Wednesday, January
24, 2024 at 10am, followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery.
