Margaret "Peggy" Dixon

February 9, 1934 -  May 29, 2022

Margaret (Peggy) Eleanor Dixon (Burke), born in Toronto passed peacefully with members of her family at her side May 29th, 2022 at 88 years of age, at Shalom Manor Grimsby Ontario. Peggy will be greatly missed by her devoted husband, of nearly 60 years, William (Bill) Arthur James Dixon and her children Brad, Beth and Brian (Bruce Dixon predeceased 2013), grandchildren: Steven, Kelly, Samantha, John, Corey and Taylor, and great grandchildren: Makayla, Cameron, Ellie and Charlie Rose. Peggy is an alumnae of St. Joseph Hospital Nursing School in Toronto, and was a practicing nurse until devoting her life to her family. Peggy was an active tennis player, golfer and community volunteer.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., Etobicoke (between Kipling & Islington Aves.) on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. George’s-on-the-Hill Anglican Church, 4600 Dundas Street West, on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 1pm, with the family receiving visitors at the church between 12-1 p.m. Interment will take place at St. George’s on-the-Hill Cemetery after the service, with refreshments to follow. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.

My deepest condolences to the Dixon family. My parents - John & Barbara Micallef were good friends many years ago when living in Markland woods. My Mom reunited with them while living in Etobicoke. Peggy was truly a kind & compassionate woman.She will be missed. 🥰
