Margaret Irene Channell (nee Foster)

March 14, 1931 - August 4, 2025

It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret at the Trillium Mississauga Hospital on Monday, August 4th, 2025.

Beloved wife of the late Douglas; Loving mother of John Channell, the late Paul Channell, Patricia Channell (Chris Meeks) and Jeffrey Channell (Leanne); Cherished Nana of Jack, Emma, Grace, Eve and Paul.

Margaret led a fulfilling career as a legal secretary, then school secretary with Peel Board of Education, was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority, Dixie Curling Club, and Christ First United Church. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and family.

Visitation will be held at Turner and Porter Peel Chapel on Monday, August 11, from 6-8PM, and funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 12, at 2PM.

Favorite charities include Peel Alzheimer’s Society and Operation Eyesight.

A very special thanks to the wonderful and caring staff of Bough Beeches Place Retirement Home.

Auntie Marg was the most kind, warm, positive, non-judgemental and grace filled person we have ever had the good fortune to know. She will be missed but we will keep her alive through our memories of family fun and smiles.
