In Celebration of

Margaret DellaRossa

July 22, 1926 -  May 13, 2021

The family of Margaret DellaRossa is saddened to announce her passing on May 13, 2021, at the age of 94. She will be greatly missed by her sons Gary and Michael, and Michael's wife, Linda. Margaret was the devoted and much-loved grandmother of Carolyn and Stephen, and the great-grandmother of Alexandre, Benjamin, Jonathan, and Maggie. Margaret will also be missed by her many friends and relatives. Margaret was predeceased by the love of her life, husband Sid, who passed in 1991.

Margaret enjoyed reading, knitting, baking, crossword puzzles, and above all doting over and caring for her family with selfless love and devotion. She will be remembered for her wit, intellectual curiosity, and enjoyment of discussions of everything from family matters to current world events.

The family would like to thank the staff of Trillium Mississauga hospital and give a special thanks to the Palliative Care team. Due to pandemic restrictions, a private family memorial is being scheduled.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Donations can be made in Margaret's name to the charity of your choice

We are sadden by the passing of our dear Aunty Margaret. She was a loving aunt - always supportive during good times and hard times. And, a wonderful baker - her Raspberry Ribbon Pie is still a family favourite.

Aunty Margaret has always been someone special in my life. From lunches as a child to regular phone visits for many years. She always had a positive attitude and a fun way about her. When I had my daughter now 30 years ago she was more than thrilled to come and visit. She always had wonderful conversations with my husband Lou regarding world events and family matters. She was very excited to meet my grandson Jack. Unfortunately, that was not the case. But we will tell Jack all about her.
My whole family will miss her greatly. But we do know she knows she was loved.
Love you Aunty Margaret, Sandra, Lou, Clarisse , Jack and Ryan. xoxox

I have lost another knitting buddy. Margaret was my inspiration and always there to sew up my projects when I got stuck. I will miss her cheery greetings and emails. She was truly a wonderful person, who will be missed by all who knew her.

I knew Margaret for over 30years. She was so kind and gracious to everyone. A lovely lady who was always interested in what was going on in our lives, our families and the world at large. Many times I sat in her living room. We talked for hours. Her Christmas card was the first to arrive every year. We first met when Margaret came to Father Serra school as the school secretary. Nothing was ever too much trouble. So efficient, so organized never ruffled by whatever was going on. My deepest condolences to the family.
You must all miss her so much. I’m so sorry for your loss.
