In Celebration of

Marc James Turner

April 14, 1985 -  April 13, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Marc James Turner on April 13, 2022 at the age of 36.

Cherished son of Leo and Denise, loving brother to Carolyn (Dave) and Kathleen (Jacob), and amazing uncle to Hannah, Caden, Benjamin, and Sam. Marc will be fondly remembered by his extended family and his many friends.

Marc was brilliant, passionate and multitalented. He knew what he wanted and worked tirelessly to achieve his dreams. He loved his job with the City of Mississauga, Parks and Recreation and he will be deeply missed by his friends/coworkers.

He was an ardent fan of the Tennessee Titans, as well as the Jays and Raptors. His aptitude for statistics was incredible.

He had a passion for reading, music and meditation. Throughout his life, Marc actively participated in hockey, baseball, golf and more recently cycling, all of which he excelled in. He loved a good debate and more often than not came out on the winning side. Marc truly loved the family dog Guinness and the special bond they had was extraordinary.

Marc cared deeply for others, and his kind compassionate heart always showed through. The lasting bonds that he created with friends from kindergarten to adulthood are a testament to the appreciation that he had for the relationships in his life. He held a special place in his heart for each and every person who touched his life.

We were extremely proud to have had Marc in our lives and he will be deeply and forever missed in our hearts.

Visitation will take place Sunday April 24, 2022 from 4-8 p.m. at Turner & Porter (Peel Chapel), 2180 Hurontario St. Mississauga. The funeral service will be held at Saints Martha and Mary Church, 1870 Burnhamthorpe Rd East, Mississauga, Monday April 25, 2022 at 11.00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to gofundme.com : “Post-Finasteride Syndrome (PFS) Fundraiser”.

Do Not Stand At My Grave And Weep
...........By Mary Elizabeth Frye

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

Had the pleasure of meeting Marc only a few times through mutual friends. We played in the same fantasy baseball leagues for years, and we had a lot in common. From sports to hip hop, and our love of Big L, we connected on several hobbies. Condolences to the entire family and his close group of friends. Marc was an incredibly solid dude and he will be missed dearly.

You will be missed deeply Marc. I love you and will never forget you. The pain is gone and now you can rest in peace. Whenever I see something related to pool I will be reminded how that was the only thing I could beat you in. You were just too good at everything. King size Oh Henry's are on us now. Play with Roxie for me. Love you Dub T.
