Wayne and I send our love your way in this time of sadness. Wish I could give everyone a big hug.
Love all of you lots❤
Moms hold a special place in our hearts and minds. My mother Manda deserved and earned respect and above all the love of her family. Her laughter was her gift, she would say God blessed her with it. When I recall my earliest memory, it would be of her walking me to Perth ave school for kindergarten. she always told me everything was going to be ok. My very special and final memory was reading her the Mothers Day card I brought to her a few days prior to Mother’s Day. There were many many wonderful moments and sacrifices beyond words between her walking me to school and her last day on earth. I did what my mother asked me and that was to not cry when she passes away but to celebrate her life. She always said cry for me while I’m alive (which I did often) when I’m sad or need a hug and tell me everything will be ok. She was so loving, I will miss her terribly and will let her know by lighting a candle on her Birthday and every Mother’s Day. May she reach the heavens with open arms. I love you mom. Thank You
Your loving son Marko
She never called me Tracy always Teresa and I loved it. I remember when the special day I told her I was pregnant with her grandson, and with all seriousness in her voice, she said "How did that happen" I looked at her and said "I don't know Ante sleeps on the couch" We laughed so hard we cried. I never called her mother-in-law always Mom, because she always treated like her own. And as I grew to know her she loved everyone and always gave of herself to everyone without question. I am going to miss our daily phone calls, cooking with her, and crocheting for her. The week before she passed away, she said she had nothing to do, so I pulled out an adult coloring book. She said she had never coloured before, so I am glad we spent that time together doing something new. I know she is on her journey to heaven, I will miss her more than anything, but knowing she is at peace heals my broken heart. Love you Mom - Teresa
Mom, Manda Vrkljan, was a very special woman. The first day I met her she told me “you must be special, Marko has never brought anyone home before” She always made me feel special and loved. She accepted my children immediately as her grand children and was always so kind and loving to them. She and I spent a lot of time discussing motherhood and how important a job it was to both of us, the joys and the pain that come with it. We would laugh and we would cry together sharing stories of raising our children and the challenges we faced. She was a warrior. She stayed strong, bringing her family to strange new country where she didn’t speak the language and had no family to lean on. She had to navigate through so many obstacles and I admired her strength and tenacity to endure and thrive. She loved her family. Her sons were her pride and joy. She often would say when we would visit... I don’t have anything to give you. I told her she had already given me the greatest gift of all, my husband Marko. I will miss her. I will always keep her in my heart and in my prayers. May she rest easy now.
