In Celebration of

Malgorzata Hojda

February 2, 1963 -  December 3, 2024

Malgorzata (Margaret, Malgosia, Gosia) passed away peacefully with her family by her side on December 3rd, 2024. Loving mother to Alexander and partner to Dariusz. Malgorzata was the youngest of two born to Jan and Romualda Barnowski, in Trzebiatów, Poland. She is predeceased by her parents and brother Bogdan. Malgorzata moved from Poland to Greece where she lived for one year before moving to Canada in 1984. She will be deeply missed by all her relatives and dear friends she made along the way.

Malgorzata was known for her unwavering kindness and generosity, always the first to step forward when someone was in need. Malgorzata had a rare gift for making everyone feel like family, no matter the circumstances. Her warmth and understanding were a source of comfort to all who knew her, and her presence could light up any room. Her greatest joy came from being there for others - offering a listening ear, a helping hand, or simply her radiant smile. To those lucky enough to know her, she was a true anchor and friend.

She lived a full and vibrant life, devoted to the things she loved most. She found immense joy in gardening, tending to her plants with care and creating beauty wherever she went. Her love extended to animals, especially her beloved dogs, Tobi and the late Oscar, who were constant companions and brought her endless happiness. She cherished peaceful walks on forest trails, mushroom picking, and the serenity of being in nature. An amazing cook, Malgorzata had a way of bringing people together around her table, where meals were always made with love.

Her legacy of love and compassion will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.

Family and Friends will be received at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St, Mississauga (HWY 10 N. of QEW) on Friday, December 13, 2024 from 5-9 pm. There will be prayers from 8-8:30 pm led by Rev. Marcin Mironiuk. Cremation has taken place. We hope family and friends will share fond memories.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, in honour of Malgorzata and her generous spirit.
